Happy 4th of July! Here are the kids at King’s Dominion where we saw lots of fireworks once it got dark.

I totally forgot to post about Megan and Kathryn’s spring ballet recital! They did awesome! Megan was in three different acts and Kathryn was in two. They were cute too! I have loads of pictures of Megan and Kathryn.

This photo on the left is of “Tarantella” which is the dance Kathryn’s primary class did, but they had an odd number so they asked Megan to perform with them. They both performed in “Midsummer’s Night Dream” and they were birds for part of it and fireflies for another part. Here they are as birds! Very cute! They are fireflies here in the blue leotards. Very cute as well!

Now for one of my favorite photos. Megan was in the very first performance titled “Pas de Cole” which means Ballet School. Her friend, big Megan as we call her since her name is also Megan and she’s quite tall, was the teacher at the ballet school and the students were from Megan’s ballet class. They did a great job! But I love this picture because Megan is just a great dancer and has perfect form and I was happy to have snapped this photo of her!

We aren’t sure what exactly we will do for ballet next year. Her school seems to be closing down as the owner has decided to pursue other things (she was in her late 70′s so I gather that’s an okay decision!) and we haven’t even thought about what to do. It’ll be my job over the summer to talk with all the other moms to see what their daughters are doing! TTFN!

That’s right, another year is gone. It’s hard to believe we will have a kindergartner, third grader and a fifth grader! And Jonathan will be starting his second year in preschool. Wow, everyone is just growing up too fast!

Both girls had a really good year and learned a lot and we are looking forward to a fun summer of reading, work, tests…um, sorry, I meant lots of time at the pool! TTFN!

I can’t believe another Father’s Day has rolled around! Here Richard is with all the kids before heading to church. The kids loved Richard’s tie!

They each made Richard a card because his big present was a new XBox since his received the red ring of death several months ago.

We had a nice time at church and the message was from Joshua 24:15 – “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

This is a saying we’ve had posted above our door at every place we’ve live and we feel that we should serve our Lord as a family.

I thought I’d post a photo from Father’s Day last year just to show how much the kids have changed! Boy, the kids sure have! It’s just amazing how the kids change in just one year. Time sure has flown by!

But I wanted to look even further back and the earliest Father’s Day photo we have online is from 2005 when Kathryn was a baby. We were living in Germany and Kathryn was about one month old. Wow, talk about changes! I know I have a photo from Richard’s very first Father’s Day some where, will have to dig out the photographs…TTFN!

Jonathan finished his first year of preschool! He was in the younger three’s class and next year will be in the older three’s class. They have a turning ceremony at the end of the year where they are younger three’s turning into older three’s and then they are done! It’s very exciting and quick! That’s what this year seemed to be, really quick!

Jonathan is here with his teacher, Mrs. Grimes. It’s the only way I could get him to take a picture with her! Jonathan had a great time in preschool and loved going there. He can count, knows all his colors and has started talking a lot. He made some great friends too!
