Ever since I got the Stitch ‘n B—- book back last summer, I’ve wanted to make the knitting needle holder that it had in there. Not that I have a ton of knitting needles (I have lots more crochet hooks!), but I needed some place to store them and keep them from sticking out everywhere.
So last night, I made it! It took roughly three hours to finish from cutting the fabric to piecing it together to sewing it all up and adding the ribbon at the end. I thought that was pretty fast!
This picture is of it rolled up. I chose some fabric from my stash that has some crosses and doves on it and verses from the Sermon on the Mount. We originally bought it to make pillows, but never quite got to making those!
Here it is laid out. I used plain white fabric for the pockets, seemed to be the only fabric to match the outside fabric. It’ll hold around 10-12 pairs, all sizes. It has a flap that goes over the tops of the needles so they don’t fall out. It’s a pretty neat concept!
My next project is to make the one to hold my circular needles. Right now, I just have two of those, but they are sort of thrown in a drawer and they’d probably like to see the light of day sometime!
Oh and I plan on making more of these and posting them online so be looking for those! If you’d like one, leave a comment and I’ll get back to you!

Looks great Pam. Wish I could do all that sewing like you can.
